being miserable not paying attention

i just picked up a boiling pot of pasta to drain it in the sink. and just like..poured it in the strainer before getting to the sink. like i picked it up at the stove and just dumped it in the thing. 

leading to pretty fucking hot water all over my legs and feet and the floor. 

then i just like…stared at it for a solid minute confused as to what i did wrong.
